Roxanne Burton is a lecturer in Philosophy at the UWI, Cave Hill Campus. Her teaching and research areas include African Diaspora Philosophy, Caribbean Philosophy, Philosophy of Education, Biomedical Ethics, Environmental Ethics, Social Philosophy and Philosophy of Sex and Love. Before joining the Cave Hill staff, she taught Philosophy at the Mona Campus. She is currently the coordinator of the Philosophy programme in the Department of History and Philosophy at The UWI Cave Hill. She has organised and run a series of workshops on critical thinking for administrative and technical staff at The UWI and workshops for primary school teachers. She has also worked with the Centre for Hybrid Studies to introduce students in the Centre’s Easter camp to Philosophy and organise a series of Philosophy Gatherin’ events.
